Blue Moon

'Blue moon you saw me standing alone'

Sometimes its hard not to get bogged down by everything, whether its work, relationships or even assignments. Life is hard. But if it was easy would you really enjoy it?

Life is a battlefield. You win some. You loose some. Sometimes its nice, to just take a moment to step back and appreciate the little things. Hence my reasoning for taking this picture of the moon... It looked so beautiful up there, shining so bright. It made me wish that I was up there. Just me and my thoughts.

Everyday, you should make time for yourself. Whether its to laugh, do something you love, a favourite hobby or even dressing up in your favourite outfit. Because everyone needs 'me time' and its that 'me time' which is the first step to take to loving yourself which people will love you for even more.

So get out there and do your thing girl!

I Moustache You A Question...

I moustache you a question... Where did this whole moustache trend come from!? Because I'm pretty sure even Stella McCartney didn't predict this trend coming along. Never the less, wrapped among all the hype I came across a cute 'I love moustache' mug. Which I found myself smiling at, there's something about a mustache that just makes you giggle.

But where did this whole moustache trend come from I hear you ask...? Long ago, on a website named Youtube, my friend told me about a kid on there who was really funny. You see, that kid was obsessed with mustaches. Then, all of a sudden! -dundundun- on a website named Tumblr, kids became obsessed with mustaches. Taking pictures with them, growing them, and even wearing clothing with mustaches on them. In my theory, I think the kid from Youtube who got it started, and now it seems to have become a global trend varying from moustache jewellery, clothes and even tattoos.

Moustaches are universally accepted as the most superior form of facial hair. Women have often denied the greatness of Moustaches. However, every November the website Movember.com starts mustache growing teams to raise money for prostate and testicular cancer. Clearly the moustache  is a force to be reckoned with!

Have you got the moustache feeling?

Tatty Devine

Tatty Devine - designing and making jewellery since 1999. Tatty Devine design and make almost everything in their own workshops in England and have become a cult classic of British fashion with its witty, offbeat designs. Run by Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine who set up the company in 1999, and still run it completely independently. They still design every piece, and 99% of the jewellery is made by hand in Tatty Devine's own workshops (one in London and one in Kent). Each year, two main collections are launched at London Fashion Week. One of Tatty Devine's most recognisable pieces are the custom-made Name Necklaces in bright acrylic, which have been worn by everyone from Claudia Schiffer to Jessie J.

When I first came across the Tatty Devine website earlier this year, I completely fell in love with it. With their wide range of unique designs and bold colours it was hard not to refuse. I recently received the swallow earrings along with the matching necklace from my friends for my birthday (lucky girl, I know!). The jewellery which Tatty Devine produce make great gifts when your looking for a special gift for a special someone. You can even have your gift personalised with the Tatty Devine name tag necklace collection, which ables you to enter a name of your choice, style your necklace by choosing the colour and lettering of the text. You are then able to select a cute charm to attach to your name/text and choose a chain perfect to fit the style of your unique necklace that you have just created. They also come sealed in a cute Tatty Devine box wrapped in tissue paper with a 'how to care for your jewellery' note, and if your not local to the stores in London or Kent then you can simply order online from their website.

Every time I wear my Tatty Devine jewellery out I always get great compliments on it like 'Wow that's different, where did you get that from?' or 'Hey those earrings are so cute'. I think there great statement pieces and are a fab way to tie any outfit together. I just can't wait to get my hands on some more...

Love fashion? Love jewellery? Love Tatty Devine.

Glamping

Who doesn't love a VW Camper Van aka 'Hippiemobile'? This vintage minibus is saluted anywhere that I go, and with their array of bold colours that they come in why wouldn't they? Could their honor of existence be trend related, or treasure of time that this vehicle has given us? Is there some sort of romantic bond with the unique style and memories that may be related to it, or is it just the joy and excitement of exploring and camping out in the wilderness?

However, camping is not everyones thing, but this is no tent!? Does this vehicle provide us with glamorous camping? 'Glamping'!? Providing us with retro chic that we feel needs to be included within our lives. The use of taking something old and something new and combining them as one. Some of you may not know what the term 'Glamping' means or those of you hard core campers out their might be infuriated buy it. Glamping is a luxury form of camping. 'Isn't that just a shack?' I hear you say... Almost but not quite. Glamping satisfys your desire for the outdoors and your craving for a good meal, nice glass of wine, and a comfortable bed. You may stay in a tent, but the facilities are generally five-star and go way beyond what you would normally expect on a camping trip.

Wild Nails

Nail art is the new black! Everywhere I look there is a new pattern, colour, style, or shape of nail art. Now for those of you that aren't in the know, nail art is; 'Beautification of the nails with patterns, paintings or other decorative motifs...'
For those of us girly girls out there nail art is a must hot trend right now! So today I decided to mix it up a bit, as shown in my above picture I'm wearing 'Missguided - Misstify' which comes out as a great hot pink colour, perfect to brighten up any outfit, and for the nail effect I used 'Barry M - Black Nail Effects' which produces a great alternative pattern, that gives each nail a unique look.

1. MissDemeanor Fuschia Nail Splash £5.00 Missguided

2. Barry M Nail Paint 311 Instant Nail Effects Black £3.99 Superdrug

I like this style as it gives a wild chick look to your nails, and mixes up your day to day polish routine.

Why no share you nail art designs here at Violet Ramblings...

Little Miss Stubborn

'Stubborn: adjective;

1. Having or showing dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position on something, esp. in spite of good arguments or reasons...

2. Difficult to move, remove, or cure.'
Today I picked up this great tissue box from my local supermarket which I just could not wait to share. I picked it up as it made me giggle, along with the very appropriate other slogans that are included on the box; 'Are you confusing me with someone who cares?!', 'Me, attitude? Surely not!', and 'Looking at me? Why wouldn't you!'. Note to self: Anything that makes you giggle, smile, or laugh... Buy it or marry it!

After smirking to myself shortly whilst reading the captions, it had me thinking the reason why I found it funny is that well... Those of you that may know me will know that I can be slightly stubborn at times. What?! Ok. Just plain stubborn!

Unfortunately, this is a family trait in which I have inherited from my Father. (Thanks Dad!) Which means that at times I just can't help my self but think that I'm right and your wrong! And there's nothing you can do about it! Although, of course I will consider some of your argument factors, but I'm still right never the less!

However, if I am proved wrong (which won't be regularly, as I'll make sure of it) I will hold my hands up and say 'Ok! You've got me... your right' (which will of course be mumbled as I walk away into the distance...)

So, here's to all the stubborn of us out there! ...That's if we all agree on that of course.
